Discipline and Guidelines
Students are expected to maintain discipline, respect teachers and peers, and follow all school rules with sincerity.
Along with the right to education, the student
has a corresponding responsibility to co-operate fully with all persons
employed by the school Management and other persons who have been
assigned responsibilities with respect to the service provided by the
school management. Students are expected to be diligent in their
studies, conform to the rules of the school, and submit to such
discipline as would be exercised by a kind, firm and judicious parent.
Parents / guardians are obliged to give good example of gentle behaviour
to their wards by respecting the school management staff and other
employees of the institutions. Unbecoming and unruly behaviour of the
parents / guardians will result in the suspension or dismissal of their
wards.
The aim of the school is to develop within the students a sense of
self-discipline. The true meaning of discipline is training of mind and
character.
- Every student is expected to be punctual, smart, humble honest, truthful, gentle and kind to others in school and of school.
- Students will not be admitted to the classroom without and clean uniform.
- Each student is to enter and leave classroom silently in single file.
- Any student who intentionally causes physical injury to another will have to bear the expenses of the treatment and may be asked to leave the School with immediate effect.
- Wearing of school uniform for classes, PT uniform for PT and games is compulsory for all the classes. The school discourages wearing colourful jackets, sweaters, fancy accessories, rings, watch, fancy belt etc
- Disrespect to teachers, elders, non-teaching staff and misconduct of any sort will be strictly dealt with.
- Irregular attendance, unjustified or unexplained absence, habitual late coming, disobedience or objectionable behaviour of any kind may result in removal of a student from school
- Students are answerable to School authorities for their conduct in and outside the school. Hence, misbehaviour in public places and in conveyance (bus) justify for dismissal
- Books, periodicals or magazines of objectionable nature shall NOT be brought to the school.
- Every student must have a copy of the school diary, which should be brought to the school daily.
- Students who are held responsible for unnecessary or wilful damage to school property will be charged a flat payment to help offset the cost of repairs or replacement as necessary.
- Students are not permitted to leave the school premises without a letter of authorization from his / her guardian.

Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. Each article should be marked with the one’s own name, class and section. Jewellery and mobile/cell phone are NOT permitted in the School.
- Every child attending the school is obliged to take part in drills, games and other activities.
- Students shall speak only in English at all time in the school premises and in the school bus.
- Children are not permitted to enter the school premises in chewing pan, tobacco, smoking cigarette or under the influence of any other drugs.

On the 3rd Friday of Every month from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm , parents are encouraged to visit the School and discuss with the teachers regarding their wards.

School begins with morning assembly. Students must be in school, well in time to be ready for the Assembly. The school will be closed 10 minutes before the assembly, and students who come late shall not be permitted to get in without the permission of the Principal.
- Leave of absence on a regular class day may be granted for a sufficient cause, but only on a written application from the parent or guardian.
- In case of absence due to illness exceeding three days, a registered doctor’s medical certificate should be submitted.
- If a student is absent due to illness or any other cause, the Principal must be informed at once and the student on returning to the school must bring a letter from the parent certifying the causes of absence.
- Name of pupils who have been absent from school for 15 days and more without permission are liable to be struck off from the rolls and may not be readmitted.
- Two weeks of quarantine period must be observed for whooping Cough, Chicken pox, Measles and Mumps. Students inflicted with infectious diseases or exposed to such diseases in their homes must complete the quarantine period before rejoining school. This should be indicated in the Medical Certificate.
- To write or draw on the chalk-board (except when called upon to do so), to write offensive words, to soil walls or maps or anything else are things absolutely to be avoided.
- Take great care of your text books, copy books and other belongings. Beware of appropriating your neighbour’s property even if it be the smallest thing. Should you find a lost article, give it at once to the Vice-Principal.
- Keep the floor clean and tidy. Deposit paper bits etc., in the dust bin.
- Speak well of others, especially your school mates, or the discipline or management of the school.
- Always speak well of your teachers and of your school.
- To enter the class in such a hurry or even to run the risk of hurting your companions, to try to go ahead of others in order to secure a better seat or place, to stand when you should be seated, to shout, to whistle, to boo or hiss or in any other way give evidence of disapproval or dislike are things absolutely to be avoided.
- Do not ridicule any one for his/her mistake or awkwardness.
- Be gentlemanly also when the things have not been according to your tastes or as perfect as you expected them to be.
- Speak well of all, think well of all and do good to all. I have read, understood and am willing to abide by the rules and regulations given in the school prospectus, in letter and spirit.
- Boys and girls should look upon their teachers with reverence, as their fathers/mothers.
- Respect every teacher, whether of your own class or not. Be grateful to those who taught you in the past. Show your teachers signs of respect which they deserve, such as, greeting them whenever you meet them and standing up as a mark of respect when they pass by.
- Be convinced that your teachers deeply feel their serious obligation of promoting your welfare in the best way they possibly can, and that in advising, commanding and correcting you, they have nothing else in view but your own good.
- Your first occupation must consist in doing the tasks assigned to you by your teachers.
- Always rise when the teachers enter the class and again when they leave. If they delay in coming do not make any noise, but wait for them in your places in silence reviewing your lesson or reading some useful and good books.
- During class avoid whispering or interrupting.
- Strive to edify your school mates by your good examples at all times.
- Never make fun of those who are backward in their studies or not so quick to grasp their lessons. Let there be no ridiculing of anyone on account of his/her physical defect. Thank God that you do not have those defects.
- In common activities do not make any distinction in the choice of your companions. Let no one be insulted in any game and let there be no selfishness.
- Boys and girls should like upon their school – mates as brothers and sisters.
Parents and guardians are requested to co-operate with school
authorities on the given points:
- They should ensure that their wards are regular and punctual in attending the school.
- They should guide their wards to be gentle in their manner and polite in their speech.
- They should send their wards to the school dressed up neat and clean and see to it that their textbooks and exercise books are neat and tidy.
- They should regularly check the notebooks of their wards and insist that their wards are diligent in their home work and lessons.
- If parents have any complaint against any teaching / non-teaching staff, they should address the matter to the Principal.
- Parents / Guardians should always bring the identity card of their wards, when they come to the school for any purpose. This is to ensure the safety of the school children.
- Parents/guardians are not permitted to enter the school premises chewing pan, tobacco, smoking cigarette or under the influence of any other drugs.
Parents and guardians are requested to co-operate with school
authorities on the given points:
- Give glory to God for whatever learning you have for He is the author of every good. Do not glory in any ability.
- Give yourself in the practice of virtue while you are young. The virtues to be cultivated most are modesty.(Purity) humility, obedience and kindness.
- By modesty is meant a proper and decent manner of speaking and acting. The virtue is one of the best ornaments of your age.
- Avoid any
kind of sin; especially three evils should be particularly
avoided:
a) The taking of the name of God in vain.
b) Impurity in thought, word or deed.
c) Stealing.
These evils draw God’s anger upon us. But if we keep these evils far away from us, God will never fail us with His blessings.
